Course Overview

In modern civilization, pipes are used to supply water, oil, steam, and gases from one place to another. Pipes are hollow cylindrical pieces with low wall thickness and are made from materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, PVC, copper, aluminum, and lead. A pipe fitter installs complete pipelines with joint equipment such as elbows, tees, crosses, and valves. They must have knowledge of different pipe joints, pipe layout drawings, valve servicing, threading, and pipe fitting techniques.
